The Emile A. Gruppe Gallery is pleased to present “Which Way Up? Four Perspectives on Finding the Way”, a collection of acrylic and oil landscape paintings by Gretchen Alexander, Natasha Bogar and Alexandra Haselton and Kiln-formed glass by Christy Witters. All the Feels
Gretchen has two paintings on display in the juried “All the Feels” show at the SPACE Gallery in Burlington, VT. The show hangs February 2 - February 24th. An opening reception will be held on February 2nd from 5 - 9 pm. The SPACE Gallery is open Friday and Saturday from 12 - 5 pm.
Jericho Craft Fair
The Jericho Craft Fair is a great opportunity to support local artists. Numerous artisans will have their work available for sale including fine art painting, pottery, jewelry, textiles and more. It will be held at the Jericho Community Center on Saturday Nov. 26 from 10 am - 3:30 pm. Gretchen will have original paintings, cards, prints, stickers and more for sale.
GEMS Show
Bryan Memorial Gallery’s annual members’ GEMS exhibit returns this year to the Gallery’s Middle Room. This show is a favorite of members and visitors alike. Gretchen has three pieces in this show depicting three deferent mountains!
November Pop Up Gallery
Local women artists Alexandra Haselton, Natasha Bogar, Laurel Waters, Gretchen Alexander and Julie Longstreth will have their work on display for the month of November in Hinesburg, VT. Collectively, their work celebrates the vibrant Vermont natural world through painting, ceramic and felt. Need a jump start on holiday shopping? Original works, prints, cards, stickers and more will be offered for sale. Come on out and support local artists! The gallery will be open Friday through Sunday from 10 am – 2 pm November 3rd – 26th. The public is invited to a reception on Saturday, November 11th from 2 – 4 pm to meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments. The gallery is located at 10298 Rte 116 in Hinesburg, VT (red building near Parkside Café and Kinney Drugs).

Slow Journey
The Emile A. Gruppe Gallery is pleased to present “Slow Journey”, a collection of acrylic and watercolor paintings by Gretchen Alexander. “Journey” is often used as a metaphor for life experience; a collection of the moments that make up one’s past, present and future. Through her paintings, Alexander ponders the idea that through slowing down to observe an individual moment, it is possible to expand one’s experience beyond the horizon of a human lifespan.

Open Studio presented by the Vermont Crafts Council on Memorial Day Weekend, 2023. Gretchen will be a guest artist at the Emile Gruppe Gallery in Jericho, VT. She will have both original works and prints for sale and will be painting en plein air on site (weather permitting).
Spark! fueling a love of birds
Spark! fueling a love of birds is the 2023 show at the Birds of Vermont Museum in Huntington, VT. The show features over 40 artists with works that highlight personal moments that fueled a love of natural science and the arts. Gretchen’s painting “Ode to a Virginia Rail” is included in the show. Artist Reception Thursday July 27, 2023 at 3 pm.
Fantastic Floodplains
Fantastic Floodplains is a solo show of Gretchen’s work on display in the offices of the Vermont Natural Resources Council in Montpelier, VT. This show bridges art and natural science focusing on the importance and beauty of floodplains. On display to the public during the Montpelier Art Walk on June 2, 2023 from 4 - 8 pm.
