Mountain streams have such a range of personalities - at times a trickle, other times a roar, and everything in between. This one flows off the side of Mt. Mansfield in Underhill, VT at the base of the Frost Trail. It was a perfectly warm late October day and I was drawn to the reflected blue sky in the steps nicely complimenting the orange in the foliage, and the fallen leaves swirling in the pools… it was a good memory to live again through painting.
