A haiku inspired by anticipation of a seasonal transition. This is the view looking up a frozen Mill Brook in Jericho, VT on a cold but sunny February day. Bolton Mountain’s snow capped dome is in the distance, and the stems of alder and other shrubs bring warmth to an otherwise cool palette.
