This little stream flows out of Nebraska Notch on the Stowe side. It drains a wetland complex that sits in the saddle below Taylor Lodge and is the headwaters for Millers Brook. I painted this from a reference photo from a family hike last summer, but I kept it five feet from my easel so as to not get hung up in details. It’s so loose that up close it looks like random brush strokes, but at a bit of distance you can appreciate the afternoon light filtering through the trees and the brook tumbling towards you.
These cards include an envelope and protective sleeve. The size is perfect for sending a letter to a friend or framing as a small print.
