This little step is one of many on this step-pool stream at the headwaters of Stevensville brook as it tumbles off the side of Mt. Mansfield in Underhill, VT. Part of what I love about painting water is finding and accentuating all the playful colors it contains - reflecting from the surroundings and bouncing up from the bottom, depending on the angle of light and velocity of the flow.
