Our summer camping trip happened to coincide with the Perseid Meteor Showers that happen every August. Brian and I both happened to wake up at midnight and noticing the skies were clear, we decided to sit by the lake to watch the show for awhile while our kids lay sleeping in the tent. Painted from memory, this piece has a dream-like quality imbued with the fantasy that can creep into our memories.
